ARTICLE 1: Conditions of participation
The event is open for players born on 2010, 2011, 2012… registered in an ETTU affiliated Association. The organiser reserves the right to invite one or more delegations outside ETTU members. Each player can only play in 1 event of its choice.
ARTICLE 2: Open events
4 events will be organised:
- Boys born on 1st January 2010 or after
- Boys born on 1st January 2012 or after
- Girls born on 1st January 2010 or after
- Girls born on 1st January 2012 or after
ARTICLE 3: Players’ qualification
3.1 Each entered association will be allowed to enter maximum 3 players per event for a total maximum of 10 players per delegation.
3.2 The next places will be given to French players who will be entered individually and from which the registration must be validated by the Organising Committee (person in charge of the detection program)
3.3 If still free places are left after the deadline of the individual French players’ entries, then additional entries of foreign countries will be allowed if it has been previously mentioned in their entry forms. Then these players will be put in a waiting list and accepted or refused depending on the total number of entries per event.
ARTICLE 4: Competition system
In both girls’ events the number of participants is limited to 96. In both boys’ events the number of participants is limited to 128. For the girls’ events:
- 1st stage: 24 groups, the 4th of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
- 2nd stage: 24 groups of 3 players composed following the results of the 1st stage. The 3 rd of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
- 3rd stage: 16 groups of 3 players composed following the results of the 2nd stage. The 3rd of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
- The winners and the seconds of the groups of the 3rd stage will be entered in the main draw (32 players).
For the boys’ events:
- 1st stage: 32 groups of 4 players, the 4th of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
- 2nd stage: 24 groups of 4 players composed following the results of the 1st stage. The 4th of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
- 3rd stage: 24 groups of 3 players composed following the results of the 2nd stage. The 3rd of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
- 4th stage: 16 groups of 3 players composed following the results of the 3rd stage. The 3rd of the group will be eliminated and entered in the consolation event.
- The winners and the 2nd of the groups of the 4th stage will be entered in the main draw (32 players).
ARTICLE 5: Main event
MAIN DRAW PLACES 1 to 32
It will be composed in each category by a draw of 32 players by KO and a complete ranking.
The winners of the groups of the last stage will be drawn by lot at the places 1 to 16 following the ITTF rules. The seconds of the groups of the last stage will be drawn by lot between the places 17 to 32 following the ITTF rules.
ARTICLE 6: Consolation event
The players non- qualified for the main draw will take part mandatory to the consolation event which will be held from Saturday morning to Sunday noon. The system of play will be adapted to the number of participants. The matches will be umpired by the players. Any player who will refuse to umpire could be disqualified by the Referee.
ARTICLE 7: Duration of the matches
All the matches shall be played best of 5 games.
ARTICLE 8: Unfolding of the event and jury
These rules can be modified by the referee if needed. For any sporting dispute, a jury will be constituted by the FFTT (French TTA) delegate, the Referee and the Tournament Director.
ARTICLE 9: Rewards
The 3 first players of each competition of the main event and of the consolation events will be rewarded.
ARTICLE 10: Entry fees
The players entered by the National Associations will be free of charge.
The French players and French coaches entered on an individual basis must pay an entry fee (60 euros for players and 30 euros for coaches) or subscribe on an “all inclusive” package proposed by the organizing committee.
